Vintage at Goodwood is the first of what will be an annual music and fashion event celebrating five decades of British cool from the 1940s to 1980s. Following our successful work over two years at The Goodwood Festival of Speed and The Goodwood Revival, Octink was appointed to provide the display graphics, printed banners and signage for this glamorous high profile event.
Goodwood is renowned for the superb quality of its events down to the last detail. Octink’s challenge was to meet exacting design requirements to bring Britain’s coolest decades alive. Accurate, hassle free, on time delivery was a given.
The project encompassed display graphics, signage, including authentic looking village-style fingerposts. The greatest challenge was a 6.5 m high free-standing Clock Tower incorporating four illuminated working clock faces, which formed the focal point of a mock Vintage High Street. In addition, Octink provided large format banners stretched over scaffold frames to create shop fronts on the street. In common with Octink, Goodwood has a strong ethos of minimising waste. Signage, display graphics – and even the Clock Tower! – will be carefully stored for use at next year’s event.
