Octink was commissioned by Barratt East London to design and build a second landmark marketing suite for its Renaissance development in Lewisham.
With Waterside Park already under construction, the requirement to project manage a second design and build marketing suite represented the greatest challenge we have faced yet. We created a unique identity for this building in the heart of the multi-million pound regeneration of Lewisham.
Octink produced concept designs for a two storey marketing suite comprising two replica show apartments and a multi-colored ‘cube’, drawing architectural inspiration from the state of the art leisure centre that is due to be built as part of the overall project. Managing the build programme throughout the construction phase, the interior fit out, while aesthetically different, was required to follow the Barratt blue-print in terms of style and specification. As with its sister building Waterside Park the ground floor space included a welcoming reception area, interactive waiting and choices zone, model area with interactive display, while upstairs two show apartments are divided by a spacious meeting/boardroom. Large format graphics, digital wallpaper, custom built displays, and bespoke made furniture completed the effect internally while a signage strategy comprising advertising hoardings and way-finding signage created the right impact externally.
Stuart Lilley, Barratt HomesAppointing Octink to handle the entire project worked well, achieving a co-ordinated approach to the Renaissance Marketing Suite, and ultimately a very cost effective solution.
