Once again, Octink has proved that a fully engineered PVC large format banner can be erected safely in the tightest of spots. In line with sustainability requirements, the sign installation you can see in the photo was relocated from another site. The works were carried out at Battersea Reach on behalf of St George PLC and were greatly restricted in access terms, where we had a maximum width of only 1.1m to manoeuvre all tools and materials, and meaning that all standard plant was out of the question!
The engineers calculated that we needed to dig a concrete base 1.8m x 1.2m x 9.6m in order to meet the BS 12899. In the space of ten days, you can see from the progress photos that we went from flat ground to complete sign installation, meeting every exacting health and safety requirement along the way. Our own plant, alongside site pumping 22 cubic metres of concrete (quick setting) and a huge crane from Lee Lifting gave a very satisfactory result. Octink is gaining a name in the industry for just this type of large format banner installation.
