Young Brits at Art 2009 is a competition in which 11-19-year-olds are invited to create pictures that express their thoughts and feelings about living in Britain today. As such we were delighted to support Stephanie Winn, a local student from Gumley House Convent School in Hounslow who was not only one of the lucky 10 winners out of more than 1639 entries nationwide, but was also named as a top three finalist!
We helped Stephanie by reproducing her stunning, original, life sized painting at the size required for the competition. We supplied a high quality print on archival “hahnemuhle” paper. The winning entries were put on display at the awards ceremony which was held at the Purcell room in the South bank centre. Stephanie was featured on several national news programmes with her winning entry, and looks set to have a fantastic future as a fine artist.
This is just the latest example of where we are happy to offer our time and expertise to assist and encourage creative young talent within our local community.
